lyrics
She’s my little girl, she lights up my world
From good morning time to night, she makes everything alright - y'know?
Lydia is the one - when she’s involved, it is so much fun
When it comes to other kids, she is the friendliest of fine
“Will you be my friend?” is her opening line
Most kids definitely respond in kind
Then they play together and it’s new friend time
She is a girl who loves to splash
When it’s time to swim, she is there in a dash
And every night when it’s time to bathe
She gets in the tub and loves to make waves
She sure loves her stuffed animals a lot
Baby Kitty, Baby Panda, Plex The Robot
When she was smaller it was Dada The Bear
But now it's the Big 3 - whoopee!
Lydia loves to dance and sing
And when she is at it, she really swings
She loves to dance with us in the evenings
And wrestle with me and rule the scene
She's a little girl, she lights up his world
From good morning time to night, she makes everything alright - y'know?
Lydia is the one - when she’s involved, it is so much fun
There are funny things she has done in her day
Yelled at folks at the store, "Get outta the way!"
It was very rude when it happened that day
Later I laughed - she was 3 and cray-zay.
When she was potty training it was quite a chore
Finally success, the pizza man at the door
She said to him, "I pee-peed in the potty!"
The pizza man said, “It’s time to party!”
She complained about a cut on her toe
I said, "Do you need some clotting factor for that, though?"
Her response made Crissy and I crack
“Daddy, factors are for philiacs.”
At bedtime we read a good book
Or we tell stories that really cook
Other times we sing and then off to bed
And get ready for the next funky day ahead
She's a little girl, she lights up his world
From good morning time to night, she makes everything alright - y'know?
Lydia is the one - when she’s involved, it is so much fun
So that’s my little girl, she’s growing so fast
Every day learns more and present becomes past
Is very tall and her wit is so fast
I wish time would slow down and her childhood would last
She’ll grow up and look back at childhood
And remember all that loved her and how life was good
She’s a happy little girl, that way I hope it stays
So when she’s grown, she’s happy all her days
