Ladies and gentlemen, this is my rexing journey - Jam skating goes by many names Other regions it’s not called the same Still a pastime that is underground The most figgidy funky fun I have found Parts of the country, It’s called crazy legging Boogie bouncing, jamming, downtowning, break skating It is also known as hexing But here in the Northwest, we call it rexing At Oaks Park Skating Rink back in the day Rexing with Moriah and learning the ways At my first Cross Cultural Rhythm Rollers session I stood there dumbfounded as my heart pounded But I didn't have to think Gary said to go get my ass out on the rink Cozmo Jethro, break it down Rex to the rhythm of the funky sound Everyone in the rink is bouncing now "Jam On It" blares on the surround sound Cozmo Jethro, break it down Rex to the rhythm of the funky sound Everyone in the rink is bouncing now Rex to the middle and bust a downtown From that point on it was like a Rap Attack I was now a rexer, there was no going back I skated with David, Packy, Maria and Ken And the fresh Portland crew from way back when Got paid by Oaks Park to work the floor But I knew for sure there was something more And I found myself right in the middle of the mix When I moved north to the 206 Skating in Seattle was a way of life The rexing community was the tightest of the tight And once a week all us freaks would meet At the late night jam, the mystique was unique Stan laid down the tunes till the early morn As we all had a blast, which was the norm Around this time I met a guy we called Gunther Had a stutter and could rex like a mother Dominating the floor with him and Too Tall At Pattison's South as they watched from the wall Gunther brought Matt from Jack In The Crack Became one of the greatest, though he started out wack Add Brooks, Belle, Tenderheart, and Bear It was all a big rexing love affair Known as Freestyle Rexing USA And there is nowhere that we wouldn’t play We’d show up and it would be like, "Who is that!?" Cozmo Jethro, break it down Rex to the rhythm of the funky sound Everyone in the rink is bouncing now "Jam On It" blares on the surround sound Cozmo Jethro, break it down Rex to the rhythm of the funky sound Everyone in the rink is bouncing now Rex to the middle and bust a downtown There were many rinks where we felt at home Like Everett Skate Deck and Centralia Rollerdrome But the illest place to do our thing Was at TLC or the Redmond Skate King Lighting up the moves at TLC Were Woody, Moe, and Roscoe the P Richard Stagg was the man with the plan He skated as good as anyone - damn! Loren held court, gave support at Kent He taught many a rexer how to represent Running middles he was money Swing skating with the honies Jam skating? Uhh! 100%. When FRUSA would pile in our cars and roll Winning rexing contests with some true Seattle soul Next level competition came to our state The Seattle Red Bull Great Skate Cozmo Jethro, break it down - Cozmo Jethro Cozmo Jethro, break it down - Cozmo Jethro After that I went crazy and my time was through Left Seattle behind for the tried and true I moved back to Portland, a few years older Long gone was the reign of the Rhythm Rollers Soon the Salem Skate Palace would close Then Kelso Skate World was gone - adios! Finally TLC, the worst news of all Northwest rexing had taken a fall But Oaks Park and Gresham survive to this day And that's where people still skate around the way Met my girl Christina while we rexed one day Ten years later we’re still in love - Heeeeyyyyyy! Cozmo Jethro, break it down Rex to the rhythm of the funky sound Everyone in the rink is bouncing now "Jam On It" blares on the surround sound Cozmo Jethro, break it down Rex to the rhythm of the funky sound Everyone in the rink is bouncing now Rex to the middle and bust a downtown Northwest rexing lives on People still rex and have tons of fun A lot of changes it has undergone But in the end, rexing lives on

Lydia 04:58
She’s my little girl, she lights up my world From good morning time to night, she makes everything alright - y'know? Lydia is the one - when she’s involved, it is so much fun When it comes to other kids, she is the friendliest of fine “Will you be my friend?” is her opening line Most kids definitely respond in kind Then they play together and it’s new friend time She is a girl who loves to splash When it’s time to swim, she is there in a dash And every night when it’s time to bathe She gets in the tub and loves to make waves She sure loves her stuffed animals a lot Baby Kitty, Baby Panda, Plex The Robot When she was smaller it was Dada The Bear But now it's the Big 3 - whoopee! Lydia loves to dance and sing And when she is at it, she really swings She loves to dance with us in the evenings And wrestle with me and rule the scene She's a little girl, she lights up his world From good morning time to night, she makes everything alright - y'know? Lydia is the one - when she’s involved, it is so much fun There are funny things she has done in her day Yelled at folks at the store, "Get outta the way!" It was very rude when it happened that day Later I laughed - she was 3 and cray-zay. When she was potty training it was quite a chore Finally success, the pizza man at the door She said to him, "I pee-peed in the potty!" The pizza man said, “It’s time to party!” She complained about a cut on her toe I said, "Do you need some clotting factor for that, though?" Her response made Crissy and I crack “Daddy, factors are for philiacs.” At bedtime we read a good book Or we tell stories that really cook Other times we sing and then off to bed And get ready for the next funky day ahead She's a little girl, she lights up his world From good morning time to night, she makes everything alright - y'know? Lydia is the one - when she’s involved, it is so much fun So that’s my little girl, she’s growing so fast Every day learns more and present becomes past Is very tall and her wit is so fast I wish time would slow down and her childhood would last She’ll grow up and look back at childhood And remember all that loved her and how life was good She’s a happy little girl, that way I hope it stays So when she’s grown, she’s happy all her days
